H averi (Shiggaon):Former Minister and MLA Araga Jnanendra has said that if Chief Minister Siddaramaiah had any respect,he should have resigned after being implicated in the MUDA scandal and termed him as an ineffective chief minister.
Campaigning for BJP candidate Bharat Bommai in the Shiggaon constituency on Saturday he said although Basavaraj Bommai had a brief tenure as CM,he provided good governance.
I observed closely as Home Minister in his cabinet. He generously allocated funds to all constituencies”.
Araga pointed out that one and a half years have passed since Siddaramaiah’s government came to power, and they have not provided even a penny.
When they ask for funds for the development of their constituencies, they boast irresponsibly that they have given guarantee money.I have never seen such an irresponsible government”.
He accused the entire government of being mired in corruption, with Siddaramaiah himself implicated in the MUDA scandal.
They have misappropriated funds from the Valmiki Corporation and are now involved in the excise and Waqf scandals.
They are attempting to give unconstitutional powers to the Waqf Board and are trying to make the entire country a Waqf property.
If he were a respectable CM,Siddaramaiah should have resigned.Since Siddaramaiah has failed, and it is up to the people to teach him a lesson”.
He urged voters to send a message to Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar by voting for Bharat Bommai.
He said Bharat is the son-in-law of Tirthahalli and voters must support him and give him the opportunity to work in the legislative assembly like his grandfather and father.
