: Infosys founder Narayana Murthy said that the country will progress only if Indians work hard. He concluded that he would ultimately support the six working days per week policy. He made these comments while speaking at the CNBC Global Leadership Conference. “I’m sorry. I can’t change my feelings. I will stick to this till my end. Prime Minister Modi is working hard. The honor we give him is that we strive as well. India’s growth depends on sacrifices and efforts but not on comforts and leisure. “A country without strong work values will face serious difficulties in competing globally,” he said.

I worked for 14 hours..

On this occasion, Narayanamurthy explained the hard work that went into his career. He stated that he used to work six and a half days a week for 14 hours a day. He explained that he used to start at the office at 6.30 in the morning and finish work at 8.40 in the night as a routine. He said that he is proud of such hard work. Narayanamurthy stated that hard work is not a personal choice. It is the responsibility of every educated person. There are many exceptions to this in India. He said that working with dedication is the Indian culture.

A few years ago, Narayanamurthy said in a program that millennials should work 70 hours a week in India and it became a hot topic of discussion. He also faced severe criticism for this. Responding to this, he said that the country needs everyone to work regardless of talent and intelligence.

After World War II, Germany and Japan were economically devastated. Due to this, the people there worked hard and brought their economies back to the top in the world. Narayanamurthy had previously stated that the employees here should work hard and take India to a higher position. He added that these countries have proved that if there are dedicated employees, they can develop. He strongly believes that there is no substitute for hard work
