The Traffic police have held a meeting with the representatives from e-commerce and food delivery companies to bring road discipline among them and also to reduce number of violations .
Awareness among the delivery executives have also been created before launching the drive .
The main reason for the violations is rash and negligent riding due to meet the deadline promises offered by the companies with 10 to 30 minutes food delivery or it’s free put pressure on the executives to meet tight deadlines and they have to pay from thier pockets .
This will lead to rash and negligent driving and traffic violations and putting their safety at risk.
The company concerned should not offer such unrealistic deadline considering the traffic and road conditions in and around the city, member of United Food Delivery Partners Union, association of delivery executives in the city, said .
