Ola cab driver booked by JB Nagar police for misbehaving with woman passenger over minor disagreement

In yet another troubling incident of harassment involving cab drivers,a woman from Bengaluru was allegedly misbehaved with by an Ola driver following a minor disagreement on Thursday night.

The victim,Priyanka Arora,had booked a cab online to return home after visiting a café in Indiranagar.She noticed that the cab which arrived to pick her up was different from the one shown on the app.

When she questioned this,the driver explained that the original cab had gone for repair,and the vehicle assigned was a replacement.Reassured by the matching OTP,she boarded the cab.

However,things escalated when she requested the driver to switch on the air conditioning.The driver not only refused but allegedly misbehaved,threatening to drop her off mid-journey.

Despite the tension,she managed to reach home safely and when she informed the driver that she needed to charge her phone before making the payment.

This enraged the driver,who allegedly attempted to force his way into her home,creating a scene by shouting and verbally abusing her.

She immediately raised a complaint online before approaching the JB Nagar police station.The police have registered an FIR against the driver and further investigations are underway.
