Lokayukta raid four government officials in Karnataka and recovered Disproportionate assets worth Rs.26.6 Crores

T he Lokayukta officials on Wednesday conducted search operations across the state and booked four government officials and recovered disproportionate assets total worth Rs.26.6 crore to their known source of income .

According to the officials,Raids were carried in Bengaluru city,Mandya and Chikkamagaluru by several teams and simultaneous searches at the residences, offices and residences of the relatives of the concerned accused Government Officers were conducted at more than 22 places.

Cases under DA were booked against officials including Mahesh,Managing Director,Kaveri Neeravari Nigama Niyamita,Bengaluru,and recovered total wealth of Rs.6.8 crore which according to the officials is disproportionate to his known source of income.

The officials searched at seven places belonging to the accused officials and found documents related to 25 Sites,one House,25 Acers Agricultural Land.

Apart from this the officials also recovered cash Rs.1.8 lakh,Rs.15 lakh worth valuables,Rs.25 lakh worth vehicles and other valuables worth Rs.1.7 crore .

The other officials raided and booked includes :
Thippeswamy.N K,Director,Town Planning and Country Planning,Bengaluru.

Searches were conducted at five places of the accused officer and recovered assets worth Rs.3.4 crore including documents related to a site,two houses and 7.5 acres of agricultural Land total valued of Rs.2.5 crore.

In addition to this the official also recovered cash Rs.8 lakh,valuables worth Rs.58.7 lakh,vehicles worth Rs.29.10 lakh total worth movable property worth Rs.87.9 lakh.

Mohan K,Superintendent of Excise,at the office of the Joint Commissioner of Excise,Bengaluru South, Bengaluru,and recovered a total worth Rs.4.3 crore worth properties from him.

The officials conducted searches at the five places and found documents related to three Sites,two houses,2.25 Acre Agricultural Land worth Rs.3.2 crores.

In addition to this the officials also recovered cash Rs. 1.17 lakh, Rs.44.5 lakh worth valuables,Rs.35 lakh worth vehicles,Rs.35 lakh worth bank FDs from him.

Searches were conducted at five places and recovered a total of Rs.11.9 crore property which is disproportionate to her known source of income .

The seized properties includes three Sites,a flat at Yelahanka,Bengaluru City,one under construction commercial complex,26 Acers Agricultural Land(Coffee plantation).

In addition cash Rs.56,450,Rs.66.7 lakh worth gold valuables,Rs.60 lakh worth vehicles and Rs.24 lakh worth household articles .
