he Chikkaballapur police have booked a case against unknown people for trying to create communal disharmony through a fake video on social media .
Taking serious note on this,Kushal Chouksey, Superintendent of Police,advised people not to share a fake video which might disturb law and order situation and leads to communal disharmony .
In an appeal to the people,Mr.Chouksey,said that an video from Bangladesh has been circulated on social media platform claiming muslim group attacked the land belonging to other community to take over the land , referring to Waqf issue.The video is being circulated and shared among many people .
This is totally false and no such incident occurred in Chikkaballapur,he said,adding that a fact check by the police found that the video is from Bangladesh being shared as video from Chikkaballapur.
He further requested the people not to share such videos and alert the police if they have come across anyone sharing the video.Strict action will be initiated against those who are trying to disturb communal harmony,he said .
