Chennai:The Lycée Français International de Chennai (LFIC),one of the four French schools in India,proudly conducted its Grand Inauguration ceremony on Friday, November 29, 2024,at its premises in Sholinganallur, Chennai.
This momentous occasion was graced by Her Excellency the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad,Ms.Sophie Primas,whose presence underscored the significance of this event in strengthening the Indo-French partnership.
The inauguration was also attended by His Excellency the Ambassador of France to India, Mr.Thierry Mathou and Director,French Institutes in India Mr.Grégor Trumel.
Other distinguished guests included Mr.Ethienne Rolland-Piegue,French Consul for Pondicherry-Chennai, Member of Parliament for French People Living Abroad Mrs.Chantal David Principal of Global School Chennai, Mrs.Sridevi Gopalakrishna,and Director of French International School Chennai,Dr.Marion Vercraene graced the occasion.
The inauguration marked the culmination of months of dedicated efforts by the LFIC team and its partners to establish a high-quality,bilingual,and multicultural French school in Chennai,open to all.
LFIC,which opened its doors to students in September 2024, offers French national education at an affordable cost to French, foreign, and Indian families alike.
Hosted within the esteemed JS Global School in Sholinganallur OMR, LFIC is committed to fostering a truly multicultural exchange that enriches the educational experience of every student.
