25-year-old home maker was killed and her four-year-old son grievously injured when a speeding car knocked them down in the outskirts of Doddaballapur on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bhanupriya while her younger son,Manoj severely injured and being treated at a hospital in Bengaluru .
Senior officer told reporters,Bhanupriya had gone to her elder son, School studying class 1,to handover some documents asked by the school.
She was returning home with Manoj when a car driving in rash and negligent manner knocked them down.
While she died on the spot with severe head injuries Manoj was rushed to Doddaballapur hospital from there shifted to Bengaluru for further treatment .
The Doddaballapur rural police rushed to the spot and registered a case of hit and run against the car driver .
We have identified the car with the help of CCTV footage and efforts are on to secure the driver, the officer, said .
