Today, Delhi: “The YSRCP government has disrupted the state’s economy. The revenue surplus grant that was supposed to come for five years has been used in three years. In this context, special assistance should be provided to Andhra Pradesh,” Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who came to Delhi to participate in the centenary celebrations of late leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi for about an hour on Wednesday evening. On this occasion, he presented the recently unveiled Swarna Andhra Vision – 2047 to the Prime Minister and requested the Center to provide all kinds of assistance for its realization. They discussed the huge projects that will be unveiled in the state by the Prime Minister next month.
He briefed the Prime Minister about the progress made so far after the Centre announced assistance to kickstart the Polavaram and Amaravati projects in the last budget and about the work to be started on two major projects next month. He brought to the Prime Minister’s attention the loss caused to the state due to the YSRCP government diverting and stopping the implementation of 94 central government schemes. He said that 74 of them have been restarted, and therefore, he asked him to release the funds pending with the Centre for those schemes. He explained to the Prime Minister the issue of setting up an ArcelorMittal steel plant in Anakapalle district and requested him to ensure the supply of raw materials for it. He requested that the permissions of various departments be obtained quickly for the establishment of the company.

Later, he met Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman separately for more than 45 minutes. He appealed to them to ensure that Andhra Pradesh gets adequate assistance in the next budget. Earlier in the afternoon, after the meeting of NDA leaders ended, Chandrababu met Union Steel Minister Kumaraswamy at BJP President JP Nadda’s residence. In this, they discussed the assistance to be provided by the Center for the revival of Visakhapatnam Steel.

Later, he met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who came to his official residence, for an hour. They discussed the laying of the foundation stone of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, continuation of the Waltair Railway Division, expediting the construction work of pending railway projects in the state, construction of ROBs and RUBs where necessary, and expediting the completion of the modernization work of railway stations. Ashwini Vaishnav was informed about the opportunities for setting up deep tech and AI-based companies in the technology sector in Visakhapatnam and the incentives to be provided by the central government for this.
NDA parties decide to work in more coordination

After the program to pay tribute to Vajpayee ended, a meeting of NDA parties was held at the residence of BJP president JP Nadda. Along with Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministers Kumaraswamy (JDU), Jitan Ram Manjhi (HUM), Rajiv Ranjan Singh (JDU), Bhupender Yadav (BJP), Rammohan Naidu, Lavu Srikrishna Devaraya (TDP), Pratap Rao Jadhav (Shiv Sena), Anupriya Patel (Apna Dal), Arun Singh (BJP), Tushar Vellapally (Bharat Dharma Jana Sena-Kerala), Vinay Kore (Jansurajya Shakti-Maharashtra), Sanjay Nishad (Nishad Party), Janpandian (TMMK-Tamil Nadu), Upendra Kushwaha (Rashtriya Lok Samata Party-Bihar) participated in this. The meeting was held from 12.30 pm to 2 pm. It is reported that the main issues discussed were more coordination among the NDA parties and ensuring that central schemes are implemented at the field level. It is learnt that Amit Shah explained how his comments on Ambedkar were distorted by the Congress and its allies during the recent debate on the Constitution in Parliament.
In his speech, it is reported that the Congress party, after a long time, has taken a part in the campaign on issues related to Ambedkar and made a series of malicious attempts to smear the Centre. After the meeting, TDP Parliamentary Party leader Lavu Srikrishna Devaraya spoke to reporters. He said that in this meeting, the leadership has advised all the NDA MPs to work more in coordination and to use the direction meetings held at the district levels to carry out development programs at the field level. “The NDA government is committed to achieving the goal of Vikasit Bharat 2047 and providing a brighter future for the people of the country,” BJP President JP Nadda posted on X after this meeting.

Chandrababu Naidu praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as a leader that the Indian nation can be proud of. He said that he will remember the experience of working with him, who always thought of ‘Nation First’, forever. He paid tribute to Vajpayee on the occasion of his centenary. “We are competing with the countries of the world because of his vision, which changed the course of the country. The way Vajpayee thought about the country was unique. I will never forget the way he responded when he suggested adding modernity and technology to it, and when he made proposals for reforms,” Chandrababu recalled his past memories.

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Delhi visit lasted from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm without any delay. He reached Rashtriya Smriti Sthal in the morning and paid homage to Vajpayee at the Samadhi Sadaiv Atal along with NDA leaders. Later, he held a meeting of NDA alliance leaders, met the Prime Minister and Union ministers. His last meeting with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ended at 8.30 pm. He was accompanied by Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Union ministers and MPs representing the state.
