he Electronic city police inspector is in the dock for allegedly hand in glove with rowdies and harassing and humiliating his junior staff for objecting to his behaviour.
A petition was submitted to the City police commissioner copied to Home Minister and State human rights commission for a detailed probe.
Following a complaint,the jurisdictional DCP Southeast Division , ordered a probe and asked Assistant Commissioner of Police to probe and submit a detailed report .
This is the fourth complaint filed against the senior police officials in the recent past indicating that not is all ok in the city police department .
According to the complaint by electronic city police station staff,the Inspector identified as Naveen GM, hand in glove with the rowdy-sheeters and invite them to his chambers who sit relax and enjoy the privileges .
Levelling a series of allegations against the Inspector , the petitioners said that the rowdy-sheeters would sit in the Inspector’s chamber and asked the staff to serve them tea coffee and food while the inspector is not even there at the station.
The inspector would abuse and threaten the staff with dire consequences if the staff refuse the serve his guest who are anti social elements.
The Inspector according to the petition is very irregular to the staff and does not come to office not meet anyone who visit the station with complaints.
Even refuse to take the complaints filed against the rowdies and even does not execute arrest warrant and summoned served by the court .
The Inspector according to the petitioners use these rowdies and anti social elements to get the money from the shops and commercial establishments and even allow anti social activities at the bars and restaurants .
He even have a rate card fixed as monthly “mamools”(Protection money ) ranging from hotels , wine shops,PGs and commercial establishments and even petrol pump stations .
This is not the first instances where the station-in-charge are under scanner.Since last one month three such complaints were raised and submitted to the city police commissioner officer by the junior staff alleging harassment and corruption.
The RM Nagar,Sadashivanagar and Byatarayanapura police station are the recent examples were the complaints of harassments and corrupt practices among the senior police officers have been raised.
These complaints are being ordered for probe and under investigations.Terming the series of incidents as frivolous,a senior police officer said that the tussle among the staff led to this incidents.
He admitted that there is some level of corruption and favouritism at the station level leading to frustration among the staff he added
