A five year-old boy and three-year-old girl were killed and two others severely injured when a speeding KSRTC bus knocked their scooter down in the outskirts of Ramanagar on Thursday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep,5,and Bhavya, 3,from Denkanikote in Tamil Nadu and had come to visit their relative for holiday.
According to the police,Govinda,relative of the children , working in a poultry farm was heading to his shop with his assistant,Madhu on Ramanagar and Kanakapura road .
The KSRTC bus,was moving towards Kanakapura was speeding knock down the scooter.Govinda lost balance and fell on the road coming under the moving wheels .
While the children crushed to death Govinda and Madhu sustained severe injuries and rushed to a near-by hospital where they are being treated at the ICU.
The Ramanagar rural traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the driver for further investigation.
The parents of the children have been informed and awaiting to conduct post mortem with the parents consent while the bus driver who has been detained subjected to medical examination for further investigation.
