The Hennur police have arrested a 33-year-old woman involved in over 31 house break thefts in and around the city .
The accused has been identified as Jayanthi.The police have recovered 110 grams of gold valuables and cash worth Rs.7.8 lakh from her.
The accused had gained entry into the house using the locks left the working couple outside the window of the house in Hennur on December 19.
The couple returned home from work and found the valuables including 172 grams of gold valuables 450 grams of silver articles and cash Rs.13,000 were missing.
A detailed probe revealed that she had pawned the stolen valuables at a gold shop in Kammanahalli,which had been recovered .
The accused is a habitual offenders involved in over 31 house break thefts in and around the city, the police, said .
Based on the complaint,the police track down Jayanthi while she was moving suspiciously near Shani Mahatma temple in Horamavu. The accused was produced before the court and taken into five days police custody.
Police have advised people to be careful and not leave the keys at the common place while going out.
