he Banashankari police have arrested a 30-year-old labourer for brutally assaulting his wife and mother-in-law with a sword accusing her of affair with her college friend on Tuesday.
The victim Hina Kousar,25 and her mother Praveen Taj, 50,sustained multiple cut injuries admitted to the Victoria hospital for treatment.
Hina Kousar had over 50 stitches all over her body including head,face,neck and back but said to be out of danger but under observation.
Asif and Hina are related and married few years ago. The couple had a boy and a girl and lived backside Banashankari temple area.
The couple had a fight and separated after Asif caught having an affair.Hina moved to her mother’s house and started looking for the job and contacting her college friends for help.
Asif who go to know about this mistaken it as affair and barged into the house armed with sword and attacked Hina.Parveen who rushed to save her daughter was also attacked .
Neighbours,hearing the screams rushed to their help and shifted them to the hospital before alerting the police.
The police have registered a case of attempt to murder against Asif and tracked him down on Saturday and arrested him.
