Continuing massive crack down on the human trafficking and immoral activities,the women protection wing of the Central Crime Branch officials rescued ten women from neighbouring countries who were lured into prostitution racket in and around the city .
Four teams of CCB officials carried out the raids between January 16 and January 25 and rescued rescued 10 women including from Ukraine,Bangladesh and Nepal who were part of the racket .
“One of the rescued women is from Ukraine and she came to the city with legal documents on Tourist Visa only to work in the prostitution racket,a officer part of the operation,said .
The other women are from Nepal and Bangladesh while some of them are from different parts of the country .
In the case registered at HAL police station limits,the investigators had rescued two women along with one of their four-year-old child.These rescued Bangladesh women have valid India IDs with them,which posed challenge for the officials to ascertain their nationality for sometime .
In the three other cases,the investigators cracked down on a hotel and two houses in KR Puram,Sampigehalli and Hanumantha nagar, respectively.
The rescued women were handed over to the detention centre and with the help of FRRO officials deportation process in on.
The police are also on the lookout for the people who are running the racket for further investigation.
