Honey Trap Gang busted by Hebbal police & Arrested Six among four women In Bengaluru In The Name Of Marriage Brokers

T he Hebbal police have arrested a gang of six including four women and two autorickshaw drivers for honey trapping a bike taxi pilot,luring him with with a marriage alliance and extorted Rs.50,000 from him on January 20.

Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused identified as Geetha,Manjula,Vijayalakshmi , Leelavathy,home makers and their associates Harish and Venkatesh through the money trail .

The accused posing as alliance broker approached the victim,who was looking for a prospective bride .

The accused lured the victim with a prospective bride and took him to a house in Hebbal for a meeting.

The accused,Manjula took the commission and left the place leaving the victim and the woman,who is part of the gang on the pretext of talk.

While the duo was chatting the accused Harish and Venkatesh,both autorickshaw driver barged into the house posing as police and threatened the duo to book under Prostitition.

The accused later forced the victim to transfer Rs.50,000 to drop the charges and left the scene.

Suspecting something fishy,the victim discussed the mater with his friends and later approached the police with a complaint.

Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused and arrested them.

The accused have been booked under extortion and blackmail and remanded to judicial custody.
