he Yelahanka police on Monday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the private caterer for supplying sub standard food to the police personnel who were deployed for the Aero India show security .
Police personnel who were supplied food packets complained that insects were found and raised complaints and stopped eating the food .
Earlier also they had complained a cockroach found in one of the food packets and alleged the caterer did not follow the cleanliness.
Senior police officials visited the Aero show and had breakfast with security personnel to check the quality.
However later on Monday afternoon the personnel complained that they found insect in the food packets supplied to them.
Based on the complaint the police have registered a case against caterer charging them under BNS Section 275 (sale of noxious food or drink).
Following the FIR,work order of the caterer has been cancelled and contemplating to approach ISKCON to supply the food,a senior police officer,said.
