Rowdy-Sheeter goes on stabbing spree,attacks five individuals in 30 minutes police launch manhunt

anic gripped among the residents of Indiranagar after a knife welding man slashed at least four people including two panipuri vendors within Indiranagar on Saturday night.

The accused according to the victims wearing red T- shirt,white pant and black cap armed with knife confront 19 year jaswanth while he was going to fetch drinking water on scooter.

The accused stopped the scooter told him to take right turn when Jaswanth said he had to go left,the accused slashed his neck for not listening to him and escaped.

Jaswanth was helped by passers by to taken to hospital.

Ten minutes later the accused approached deepak kumar a roadside panipuri vendor asking him for the snacks.

Deepak said it’s over and he is winding it up.The accused waited for the customers to go and slashed his neck and escaped.

Ten minutes later the accused appeared before Thammaiah another pani puri vendor and slashed his neck after having a pani puri plate and when asked to pay the money.

He also attacked another person passing by over a trivial reasons.

Though the incidents went viral and created panic among the residents, the Indiranagar police said that they have identified the accused and efforts are on to track him down.

The police have requested people not to get panic and necessary action has been taken.

The serial attack incidents went viral as people shared on groups alerting each other to be alert .

Four Special teams have been formed to track down the rowdy-sheeter who is on the run after attacking five people including two pani puri vendors,a security guard , a 18-year-old youth and a bike taxi driver with knife and escaped with the bike and a mobile phone .

The accused identified as Kadamba,from Hale Binnamangala slum in Indiranagar is habitual offender having over six cases pending against him.

The accused was Rowdy sheeter but recently due to good behaviour the police removed him from rowdy-sheet after undertaking a bond from him,DCP,D. Devaraj, said .

Inquiries revealed that the accused had a fight with the family members after they refused to give him money for alcohol walked out in a huff and started attacking the people .

A total of five cases have been registered against him charging him under attempt to murder and robbery .

Soon after the attack the control room received a message and Hoysala patrolling police based on the physical discription provided set on his pursuit .

The patrolling team located him while he was fleeing in a scooter but after few minutes of chase he gave a slip to the police and escaped .

The accused later reached Hosakote and tried to extort money at a medical store demanding money for the dinner.

But after resistance he managed to flee from there too. The police have confirmed his presence through CCTV footage later and efforts are on to track him down, Devaraj,added.
