plastic recycling unit located in the residential area in Sunkadaktte,gutted and two houses adjacent to it partially damaged in an accidental fire broke out in the afternoon.
The fire was noticed in the ground plus sheet house at around 2.10 prompting the occupant to rush out to the safety.The unit was storing used plastic material for recycling purpose.
The fire spread due to plastic material stored in the unit followed by thick smoke engulfed the area.Residents panicked when they noticed the fire followed by smoke and ran out of the houses .
Two houses adjacent the unit also damaged partially in the fire and a woman passed out due to fear.The fire and emergency control room received a message at around 2.10 pm and five fire tenders rushed to the spot and put out the fire after two hours of operations.
The officials said that the unit is located in the residential area operating without required permission.
The Byadarahalli police have visited the sport and supervising the operations to ascertain the cause of fire .
