The Kamakshipalya traffic police arrested a 25-year-old cab driver who was driving dangerously on Summanahalli flyover on outer ring road while two of his friends clinging on to the safety guard of the car over a trivial row on Saturday.
The accused cab driver identified as Kariya,from Vijayapura was arrested under section 281(driving vehicle on public way in a rash and negligent manner to endanger human life)and section 125 (endanger the safety of others or human life)and his vehicle seized .
Kariya according to the police,had a fight with two of his friends,who are also cab drivers over a trial row who tried to beat him.In order to escape began to flee in the cab.
The duo in order to stop him climbed onto the back of the car to stop him,but Kariya who was scared of getting beaten up drove the car in full speed in a bid to escape .
Few passers noticed this and recorded the video and uploaded it on the traffic police online account, prompting the Kamakshipalya traffic police to track down Kariya and arrested him .
Based on his information,the police also detained the other two cab drivers and recorded their statement and booked them too.
The police had asked Kariya to complain to the law and order police for being assaulted and threatened by the other two.
