Bengaluru: Two college students killed, two injured in speeding car crash near Ragihalli forest

Two people including a 23-year-old student were killed and two others injured when the car they were travelling crashed into a roadside in Ragihalli forest area in Bannerghatta police station limits on Monday night.

The deceased have been identified as Shahahuq,28, businessman and driver of the car and Arshu P Basheer, 23,pursuing !st year MBA in T john college .

The injured Deva Narayana,23 and Sahil,23 are classmates of Arshu were at the back seats.The victims are from Kerala and staying in hostel,the police,said .

Senior officer told reporters the victims got drunk and set out for a long drive .

Sahahuq according to the police was driving the car in rash and negligent manner and lost control while negotiating a curve and crashed into the tree.

Passers-by alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted the victims to the hospital before pulling the damaged car to the roadside .

The police are awaiting post-mortem report while a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver for further investigation.
