Not paying salary proved fatal for a 48-year-old JCB owner who was hacked to death near his house in Chintamani on Thursday.
The deceased Ramaswamy was walking to his farm when the accused armed with machete followed him and hacked him to death before fleeing to his home town.
When he did not return home his family went in search for him and found him dead in a pool of blood with Multiple injuries.
Based on the complaint the Chintaamani police swung into action and track down the accused Nagesh,28,from his hometown in Afzalpura in Kalburgi district.
A detailed questioning led him to confess to the crime.
Nagesh told the police that he was working as jcb driver for Ramaswamy for the last 1.5 years with a salary of Rs.1,000 on working day.
Ramaswamy did not pay Rs.1.5 lakh salary due to Nagesh and he would threaten him kill him.
Ramaswamy would also ask his friends to call Nagesh and threaten him whenever he demanded his dues.
Agitated by this Nagesh decided to take revenge and killed him.
