he Kadugodi police arrested a 45-year-old farmer who along with two others attacked his wife and her male friend with a machette after catching them red handed over an alleged illicit affair in the accused old house in Bellathur in Kadugodi on Thursday.
While the Kishore, 38,was hacked to death on the spot , Anrundhati,sustained severe injuries and shifted to a private hospital where she is battling for her life in ICU.
Passers-by who noticed the brutal attack alerted the police,who rushed to the spot and arrested the accused identified as Yallappa,45,a farmer from Srinivasapura in Kolar,his daughter Pooja,21 and brother-in-law Venkatacharappa,an autorickshaw driver,on the charges of murder and attempt to murder .
Kishore and Arundhati were distant relative used to meet at the old house frequently .
Kishore was married and worked as bus driver for a private school had an affair and the duo used to meet frequently at the old house belonged to the accused.
The accused knew about their affair and the couple used to have frequent fight over this issue.
On Thursday Arundhati came to meet Kishore and the accused accompanied by two others followed Arundhati armed with machette to catch them red handed .
The Kadugodi police have registered the case and further investigations are on.
