Two goldsmiths from Rajasthan arrested by Halasurgate police for stealing 2.5 kgs of gold valuables from shop they were working

The Halasurgate police arrested two goldsmiths from Rajasthan who had stolen 2.5 kilos of gold valuables from the shop they were working and escaped to Delhi in January this year.

Based on the complaint,the police have track down , Mahabeer Gujrar,25 and his associate Manish Prajapati, 20 and efforts are on to track down the third accused who is on the run with the booty.

Shekhar HT,DCP, Central Division,said that the accused were working in the hall mark centre to authenticate and certify gold valuables .

The accused had hatched a plan three months ago and executed on January 25 .

They escaped with a total of 2.5 kilos of gold jewels which had come to the centre from different shops to authenticate and get hall mark certification.

The accused had worked as gold smith in different cities before working in Bengaluru and efforts are on to ascertain their criminal background.
