two storeyed residential building situated in Thippasandra tilted and occupants of the building had a narrow escape after the basement caved in on Wednesday evening.
The incident occurred at around 4.58 pm as the building started crumbling due to ongoing basement work at the adjacent site .
The occupants of the building felt building trembling rushed out to the safety.The building tilted on the right side posing danger to the other structures on the lane .
Two fire tenders along with one NDRF team rushed to the spot and evacuated the residents to prevent further damage .
The JB Nagar police reached the spot and supervising the rescue operations, no further damages reported so far and the rescue team and consulting the BBMP officials to demolish the building to prevent further damages .
The police have informed the owner of the building living in Chennai and necessary action will be taken based on the complaint.
