two-year-old boy was killed when a JCB ran over him while playing outside his house in Seegehalli in Kadugodi police station limits on Tuesday.
The accident took place around 6:30 PM while the boy Pavan Reddy,was playing outside his house while his mother was busy in daily chores .
Senior officer told reporters,the JCB was being driven recklessly and negligently when the driver failed to notice the boy knocked him down and run over .
The boy was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared brought dead.
His parents,both employees of a private firm,filed a complaint against the JCB driver,who was subsequently arrested.
The Mahadevapura traffic Police confirmed that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol, and further investigations are underway.
