22-year-old construction labourer was killed after a pack of stray dog allegedly attacked him in Gangammanagudi police station limits on Saturday night .
The deceased has been identified as Nagaraj,native of Raichur working at an under construction house near-by .
He was walking home in an inebriated state near Y max junction when a pack of dogs reportedly attacked him .
He sustained multiple bite injuries and died on roadside .
The incident came to light on Sunday morning when passers-by noticed him lying dead in a pool of blood and alerted the police.
The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body before verifying the scene of crime.
Preliminary probe revealed that it was a stray dog attack however the police are awaiting post mortem report to ascertain the cause of death, a senior officer, said .
The police also verifying the CCTV footage from in and around the area to check any foul play.
