he Hulimavu police have arrested the owner of a security agency and his friend for verbally abusing a woman police constable and humiliated her in public while she was managing the traffic manually at a busy junction on Saturday evening.
The victim,Vanishree ST,attached to Hulimavu traffic was struggling to manage the traffic and signalled a SUV to stop while allowing other vehicles to pass.
The SUV started moving blocking the movements of the other vehicle.The WPC asked the driver to stop following which the accused later identified as Lokesh got down from the car and verbally abused the woman constable and used unparliamentary words to humiliate her in Public.
Vanishree warned him to behave for which he earned her that he would ensure her uniform will be removed.
The others motorists noticing his wayward behaviour came to the constable rescue and pulled out the vehicle parked in the middle of the road,while some recorded his behaviour on their mobile phone and put it on social media .
Vanishree unable to bear the behaviour she alerted the police who rushed to the spot and arrested Lokesh and his associate Ravi charging them under section 132 (assaults or uses criminal force to any person being a public servant in the execution of his duty as such public servant) and seized the SUV for further investigation.
