38-year-old Rowdy Sheeter was hacked to death by armed gang while he was returning from pub in Ashoknagar police station limits in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased Hyder Ali involved in several criminal cases was rowdy sheeter in Ashoknagar since 2014.
He was returning with his friends to his house in neelasandra when an armed gang attacked him and hacked him to death.
His friends tried to intervene but they were also attacked.
The attack was so brutal that Hyder Ali sustained multiple injuries.
He was rushed to bowring hospital where he was declared brought dead.
His associates gathered at the mortuary late in the night creating tense situations by brandishing or wielding swords in their hand.
The Ashoknagar police have formed a special team to track down the assailant,who attacked Hyder Ali due to personal rivalry said a senior officer.
