he Jayanagar police busted a gang of three who were stealing wheels of the parked cars on roadside .
The accused has been identified as Prem Kumar,a college student and his associate Pritham working in a hotel and Syed Salman,a mechanic by profession.
The trio are friends and ganged up to steal wheels of the parked car in and around south division.
Based on a complaint filed by a businessman of Feb 9 whose car parked on the free parking space in BDA complex and stolen four mag wheels of his car,the Jayanagar police analysed many CCTV footage from in and around before zeroing in on the accused .
Based on their confession,the police have recovered 7 mag wheels of different cars and 18 tyres and four scooters which the accused had stolen from the last few months and sold it to the tyres shops in JC road and Banashankari .
The accused would use the money they get from the stolen goods on their vices.The accused would also steal two wheelers parked on roadside and sell it to their contacts for throwaway prices .
The police have seized the stolen wheels and tyres from the shops and issued notices to the shop owners for further investigations.
The accused according to the police are first time offenders operating in the southern parts of the city for the last few months.
