Congress cannot tolerate developed Bharat: Bommai

Hubballi:Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is trying to cover up his mistakes by blaming the union l government over the issue of constituency delimitation and also politicizing the matter as the CM,which is unfortunate and not good for the state, opined former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to the media in Hubball on Friday,he said Siddaramaiah,in an attempt to hide his failures as the Chief Minister,is always looking for faults in various issues.

Karnataka is on the brink of financial collapse, and no developmental works are taking place. The funds reserved for SCs and STs are being misused, and corruption is rampant in the state.

The MP said constituency delimitation can only be done with a two-thirds majority in Parliament, and it cannot happen overnight.

A constitutionally mandated committee is responsible for this process, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already clarified in Parliament that no state will be treated unfairly.

Yet,Siddaramaiah is trying to shift the blame onto the central government to cover up his own failures. It is unfortunate that he, as the Chief Minister, is politicizing this matter, which is not beneficial for the state.

Developing Bharath

Bommai said the country will develop only when its people progress.During the Congress rule, only those in power became wealthy, while the common people’s pockets remained empty.

However, after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, 25 crore people have risen above the poverty line. During Congress rule, very few people paid income tax on earnings above Rs 1 crore.

Now, four lakh people are paying income tax on Rs 1 crore earnings. Both Indians and foreigners are witnessing India’s growth. No other country is experiencing a GDP growth rate of 6.5 per cent.

He said for Congress and its leaders, development only means the progress of their party. However, today, the poor, Dalits, youth, and women are progressing in all fields.

Everyone is moving forward, and the vision of a developed India is becoming a reality. People from all walks of life are contributing to this progress. Unfortunately, Congress cannot tolerate this development.
