he KR Puram police arrested an inter state bike lifter and recovered 100 two wheelers worth ₹ 1.4 crore from him.
The accused Prasad babu,from Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh was involved in over 150 bike theft cases in AP, Telangana,Bengaluru and Tamilnadu.
The accused would move around residential areas looking for bikes parked in front of the houses and steal them by breaking the locks in Easy way.
Prasad displayed the skill of how he breaks the lock using a screw driver and stone directly connected the wires to start the bike baffled by the police .
Based on a bike theft case reported on January 10,the KR Puram police track down prasad and arrested him a month later while he was moving suspiciously.
Some of the stolen bikes he had parked on the vacant sites in different towns the remaining he had sold it to his contacts and friends.
The police are now looking for the 49 owners of the bikes to hand them over bikes which were seized from Prasad.
City police commissioner B.Dayananda appreciated the police work for cracking the case the thief has stolen 100 bikes in 3 years and finally landed in police net he added.
