Bengaluru:There is no discussion within the BJP regarding Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar joining the party,said former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai.He added that developments in politics happen swiftly.
Asked about DK.Shivakumar’s participation in the Maha Shivaratri event organized by Isha Foundation’s Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev,he said has Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had previously participated in Sadhguru’s events.We have also attended several times.There is no need to attach political significance to it,”he said.
Referring to the internal discussions within Congress regarding this matter,Bommai remarked,”Different interpretations are emerging within Congress,which is their internal issue.
It reflects their party’s mistrust and confusion. When there is mistrust, there will also be dissent. However, there is no discussion about DK. Shivakumar joining BJP.
Political developments happen quickly, sometimes overnight. But as per our understanding, there is no such situation at present,”he clarified.
When asked about the BJP state president position, Bommai said,”People keep floating my name for the post.
Our focus should be on uniting everyone and working together to bring BJP back to power in Karnataka. The goal is to create an inclusive organization.”
