The Huliyar police of Tumakuru district on Sunday arrested a 25-year-old labourer from Koratagere and recovered stolen
valuables worth ₹10.05 lakh from her.
The accused identified as Alamelamma,used to move in crowded buses and steal valuables from the passengers.
Using this Modus operandi,the accused on January 9, stolen gold valuables from Rajeshwari who was travelling in a bus to attend her relatives naming ceremony .
Based on the complaint,the police kept a watch on the accused in a KSRTC buses and using the local intelligence network track down the accused .
With her arrested the police cracked two cases and further investigating to ascertain her criminal background.
