Techie jumps to death from 12th floor of his apartment in Parapanna Agrahara

A startup founder from Uttar Pradesh allegedly killed himself after jumping from his apartment in southeastern Bengaluru,police said on Thursday.

The deceased is Mayank Rajani,31.

Senior officer told reporters that,Rajani, who had moved to the city a few years ago in pursuit of work,jumped from the 12th floor of his apartment near Kudlu under the Parappana Agrahara police station limits.

The incident occurred on the morning of March 4 but came to light on Thursday.At the time of the incident, Rajani’s friend,who lived with him,was sleeping.

She was shortly informed by the security guard who witnessed the body and the local police were intimated.

A preliminary investigation by the jurisdictional police revealed that Rajani was dejected over his failed startup and hence took the extreme step.

“The woman has claimed in her statement that the startup didn’t do well and the victim had health issues and needed constant support.“Further investigation are on to ascertain any foul play .

On Wednesday,Rajani’s parents arrived in Bengaluru and took custody of the body following the autopsy.

Based on their statement,an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) was registered by the Parappana Agrahara police.
