The Mahadevapura police arrested a private bank employee and his female friend for allegedly assaulting a woman police officer on duty during a trivial row over drunk driving check in KR Puram on Saturday night .
The accused Rakesh Kumar was on a bike ride with his friend from Ramamurthynagar to Singenapalya when the police stopped them for check .
The police found the rider was under the influence of alcohol seized the bike and issued notice to come the next day to the station.
The accused despite repeated request did not move and started arguing with the woman police sub Inspector the argument went out of control and the accused manhandled Ms.Anitha Kumari prompting her to report the matter to her seniors .
The Mahadevapura police rushed to the spot and arrested Rakesh Kumar and her friend on the charges of assaulting a government servant on duty for further investigation.
