Two brothers died on the spot after their bike crashed into a roadside electric pole at Anepalya Junction in the Ashok Nagar traffic police limits on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Shakil Bashir (23) and Asalam Bashir (22).The duo ran a hotel on Bajaj Street and were residents of Neelasandra.
Speaking to reporters,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-West) Anitha B Haddannavar said that around 4.30 am,the two brothers were riding when the rider Shakil lost control and crashed into a roadside electric pole.
They sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. Over speeding is said to be reason for the mishap and both were not wearing helmet at the time of accident.
