The Sampigehalli police have arrested Abdul Rahman a rag picker for possessing crude explosive material in a plastic bag he was carrying on Friday.
Abdul Rahman was noticed by hotel staff who offered him job and asked for aadhar card.
Rahman joined the cleaning work but told them he will get the Aadhar card next day but even on Friday he started avoiding suspecting his behaviour the hotel staff checked the plastic bag he was carrying to find the crude bomb..
The sampigehalli police along with bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and arrested Rahman and seized the explosive.
During investigation Rahman told the police that he found the material abandoned on roadside while picking Rag near narayanappa garden
The explosive material was sent to FSL in a secured container for further examination,while rahman has been arrested and produced before magistrate and remanded to five days police custody for questioning to ascertain the source of the bomb senior officer said.
