The upparpet police on Saturday arrested three members of pro kannada organization for spray painting the BMTC bus windshield and created ruckus as part of the bundh protest organized by kannada okkuta on Saturday.
Based on the complaint by Nataraju,Traffic superintendent BMTC,the police arrested manjunath D, 31,manjunath S, 51 and Srinivas R charging them under wrongful restrain,using criminal force to deter public servant,disobedience of law promalgumated by public servant and mischief.
The trio stopped the bus on sheshadri road flyover at around 10.10 while the bus was heading to Uttarahalli from BMTC bus stand and spray painted the windshield and shouted slogans against the government.
They abused and threatened the driver for plying the bus during protest and threatened with dire consequences.
The protestors also stopped many buses including buses from other states and created ruckus.
Based on the complaint the Upparpet police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused and deployed additional force to allow the movement of the buses and other vehicles.
City police commissioner B.Dayananda had earlier warned protestors not to force people to participate in the bundh and wanted strict action .
