Security has been stepped up at the Bidadi Railway Station in Ramanagara on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday following a threat call made to the control room informing about the bomb being planted at the station.
The staff at the Railway Control Room received the call at midnight claiming that there were explosives at the station.
The railway police along with the bomb detection and disposal squad pressed into service and conducted a thorough search before terming it as a hoax call .
The officials resumed search operation on Tuesday morning to confirm the same .
A case has been registered to identify the caller and take legal action against him,a senior officer, said .
