In a tragic incident an 8-year-old boy was crushed to death while his father escaped narrowly with minor injuries when a garbage truck knock down the scooter they were travelling near Thanisandra 
railway track on Saturday.
The deceased Iman,was riding pillion with his father Abdul khadar was been to inquire in a madrasa to get him admission.
The truck driver was driving in a rash and negligent manager knock down the scooter and Iman lost balance and came under the wheels crushed to death.
Irate public pulled the driver out thrashed him badly before setting fire to the garbage truck .
The driver was lying unconscious on the road was later shifted to hospital and was being treated at the ICU.
The Hennur Traffic police along with the fire and emergency service personnel reached the spot and put out the fire and brought the situation under control.
Traffic DCP, North Division,D R Siri Gowri,Visited the spot to take stock of the situation.
Residents vent their ire on bbmp for the traffic congestion caused due to garbage segregation for many years.
Due to this the autorickshaw dump garbage at the place while the truck after segregations carry the garbage to the outskirts of the city.
Due to this heavy movement of garbage truck and autorickshaw the traffic congestion persisted.
People have requested the authorities to shift the garbage dump to different places but in vain.
The traffic on the main road is the regular problem and despite several reminders it persisted.The truck drivers and autorickshaw drivers were very rash in driving and behave rudely with people, a resident complained.
We have asked the bbmp to shift the work timing of trucks but it leads to another problem as it would stink in the area unbearably, another resident complained.
The garbage dump was out up here earlier when this was in the outskirts many years ago but now Thanisandra has become crowded and volume of traffic increased..
We have raised this issue at many public grievance meetings with the authorities but no respite even the traffic police have submitted report to the authorities concerned to shift the dump yard,but of no use,a senior officer said.
The Hennur traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against the driver,waiting for his recovery to question him.
