The Areekode police raided an apartment in electronic City and arrested a 30-year-old ugandan woman for running a MDMA drug racket in Kerala operating from her apartment in the city.
This raid and arrest had exposed the inter state operating from Bengaluru by African drug cartel.
Earlier Areekode police had arrested local peddlers red handed selling MDMA to customers.
Based on their information the police team raided the apartment and arrested Nakubure Teopista who was supplying the drugs.
Senior officer told reporters,the Areekode police arrested a Ugandan national, the leader of a drug trafficking gang, in Bangalore.
The Ugandan national,Nakubure Teopista (30),was arrested.
She was arrested from the Electronic City area of Bangalore. They were arrested by a special investigation team led by Areekode Inspector Sijith.
The Areekode natives had earlier been arrested with MDMA.The accused were arrested while trying to sell the drugs brought from Bangalore.
The police reached Bangalore based on information received from them.Teopista,who was arrested,is the leader of a gang that is smuggling drugs to Kerala based in Bangalore.
The kerala police had stepped up the vigil and checking vehicles coming from different states into Kerala following series of raids and seizure of MDMA drugs being supplied from Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka.
