Home guards who are working with the City Police on deputation will be granted paid leave on their birthdays along with the greeting cards signed by the city police commissioiner.
City police chief B.Dayananda,while receiving the guard of honour on the service parade held at City Armed Reserve grounds here on Friday,where the home guards unit participated in the parade for the first time .
Speaking on the occasion,B.Dayananda,said that the city commissionerate is giving importance to the mental health of the staff along with the physical health and allowing them to spend their special day with the near and dear one is part of the program.
Regular counselling for the staff has also been arranged to ensure that the staff is fit and fine mentally and physivcally.
To mark the National pet day,Jimmy part of the city canine squad presented a sapling to the City police chief and gave a salute which Mr.Dayananda reciprocated .
