As many as 40 makeshift houses were gutted in an accidental fire broke out at the labourers colony in Veeranapalya in Govindapura on Saturday night .
Residents are employed in toy factory and daily wagers from other parts of the state rushed to the safety along with the family members as soon as they spotted the fire at one the shed .
The fire soon engulfed to adjacent sheds and goods and material worth several lakhs gutted .
The Govindapura police along with the fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and put out of the fire after four hours of struggle.No one is injured in the accident .
Soon after the incident the landlord informed the occupants to vacate the premises which led to panic among the labourers .
The fire and emergency service personnel and the police are probing to ascertain the cause of fire .
