The accused in Suddaguntepalya molestation case has planned to settle in a remote village in the outskirts of Kozhikode with her live in partner,a Home Guard working in Bellandur police station,but the continuous tracking down of the Southeast division police finally tracked him down and arrested him on Sunday.
The accused Santosh Daniel,29,was living in with home guard in whitefield told the police that he was drunk and noticed the victim walking with her female friend back to the paying guest accomodation in the wee hours.
The duo had gone to have tea and returning to their PG when the accused stalked them and molested before fleeing the spot.
The accused had planned meticulously and even changed tampered the registration number plate of the scooter he used and even changed the clothes he was wearing while commiting crime.
But a clue about his show and analysis of CCTV led the police to locate his work place in whitefield before getting his identity.
A team of more than 70 police men headed by DCP Southeast Division,Sara Fathima analysed over 600 CCTV footage and track him down to Tamilnadu and Kerala before nailing him down in a village near Kozhikode in Kerala.
Meanwhile a section of media aired the leaked photograph of the accused which alerted the accused.
He consulted a city based advocate who advised him to leave the city and escape to a remote area in the village.
The accused convinced her live in partner to accompany him and she agreed to quit the job and join him.
The Home Guard was separated from her husband and living with him at a rented house in Whitefield,the officer, said.
Even though it was a non bailable case the police produced the accused before the magistrate and taken his five days Custody to ascertain his criminal background.
The accused seems habitual offender and suspected that he might have been involved in similar offences before which will be proved,after thorough investigation.
