The Yelahanka traffic police have booked the truck driver,manager and contractor of NCC company under death due to negligence following the death of a 45-year-old autorickshaw driver Near Kogilu cross Junction,BB Road in the early hours of Wednesday.
The truck driver was transporting concrete slab for metro construction and applied brakes suddenly to take a u turn.
Due to the sudden jerk,the concrete slabs slipped and crashed on the autorickshaw and the driver Khasim Sab was crushed to death.
The trailer was transporting girder to a metro construction and not secured properly which led to the accident .
The Traffic police rushed to the spot and with the help of crane pulled out the slab and recovered the body after two hours .
With the help of ID they managed to trace the family members and informed .
Based on the complaint filed by Syed Khader nephew of the deceased the police have charged the accused under Indian Motor Vehicle Act and also under section 106 (death due negligence )281 (rash driving ) and 289 ( negligent conduct) of BNS.
The driver was arrested and the truck was seized for further investigations.
