Strict instructions to remove unauthorized advertisements, close potholes, and take precautionary measures against rain in BBMP limits:Tushar Giri Nath

Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath gave strict instructions to the officers to remove unauthorized advertisements within BBMP limits.

Addressing a meeting held on various issues in BBMP limits,he said that the Hon’ble High Court,Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Urban Development Minister had instructed them to take strict action against the installation of unauthorized advertisements in the city.

But violations have been increasing lately and he instructed to take appropriate measures to control it.

A new circular is being issued to take appropriate action against those installing unauthorized advertisements in the city.

In it,the Assistant Executive Engineer,Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer coming under the ward area will be given the authority to remove unauthorized advertisements,register FIRs,recover the expenses incurred during the removal and impose double the fine, he said.

*Take precautionary measures against rain related incidents:

The annual maintenance work in the Storm Water Drain (SWD) should be actively carried out, and silt should be removed.

The side drains coming from the ward roads and main roads should be dredged using shields and tractors.

Before the rainy season begins,he gave them instructions to prioritize cleaning and take measures to ensure that there are no issues anywhere.

*Fix potholes:

The potholes should also be fixed,and he instructed them to identify potholes in the respective areas and fix them immediately.

On this occasion,special commissioner,Munish Mudgil, Suralkar Vikas Kishor,Dr.K.Harish Kumar,and Avinash Menon Rajendran;Zonal Commissioner Satish, Ramesh, Ramya, Karee Gowda, Digvijay Bodke,and Naveen Kumar; Engineer-in-Chief Prahalad,Chief Engineer and other concerned officers were present.
