A woman survivor of the Pahalgam terror attack recounted chilling moments of the massacre and said that the attacker killed her husband but left her alive to send a message to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.“Go tell this to Modi,” the woman quoted the attacker as saying.
Three of us –me,my husband and our son–had gone to Kashmir. It happened around 1.30 pm,I think. We were at Pahalgam. He died on the spot, in front of my eyes. It still feels like a bad dream,” Pallavi told reporters.
She also said that local civilians rushed to help those injured.People reportedly rushed their ponies to the site of the attack to rescue victims before authorities formally began rescue operations.
Recalling the attack,Pallavi said,“Three to four people attacked us.I told them–kill me too, you’ve already killed my husband. One of them said, I won’t kill you.Go tell this to Modi.”
Reacting to the attack,Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X, “I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected.”
We have given all the money of the taxpayers of India without any discrimination, saying ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
We have given them more than they deserve in the name of development. We have provided jobs, education, better living conditions, infrastructure development, and better healthcare for everyone.
But what they did was to separate innocent people based on their religion, even undress them and shoot them dead at point blank range..!
Despite all this, the cliché dialogue ‘terrorism has no religion’ will still arise..!
With the media calling terrorists who hunt down and kill innocent people based on their religion as fighters and freedom fighters,a justice system that protects the interests of religious extremists, and appeasing political parties, one thing is certain: if the terrorists behind this are arrested, the innocent people killed in the terrorist attack will not get justice.
The peace that the country built and maintained through years of effort has been destroyed in a single day.
Retaliating to a terrorist attack is not a great achievement, but preventing terrorist attacks should be considered a success.
Everyone knows that such terrorist attacks are never possible without help from within the country. While some are spreading support for terrorism on social media and in the streets, and religious extremists are running rampant in every state, the government is just a bystander.
Twitter is currently filled with tons of condolence messages from those in power.Leaving aside the fact that it has become ‘cruel and demonic’, it is important to note that the condolence messages are still the same as those who were in power 10 years ago.
It doesn’t matter if we mount a horse on Pakistan or strike up a few dialogues without eliminating those inside India who support terrorism.
India has a fate unlike any other country in the world. India has more enemies within itself than outside. India has no salvation without finding and eliminating them.
This terrorist attack is the failure of the central government. If we keep saying tolerance and ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’, this is what we will get in return.
It is a shameful arrangement for those who cannot even ensure the safety of the people of their own country to play ‘Vishwaguru’.
It seems that the rulers are afraid of hearing about fascism and dictatorship in the name of suppressing terrorism.
Do they want a good child certificate from Islamic countries and human rights activists or are the lives of the people of the country more important to the rulers..?
The only way out is to confront terrorists on the Chinese model, the Israeli model, the Russian model. We need to respond in a language they understand.
Whatever is standing in the way, whether it is the justice system, the media, or human rights activists, we need to suppress it. If democracy in India goes down in the name of that, we will tolerate it.
