Puducherry Speaker Greets Asian Literary Society, Invites Future Event

Delhi:The Speaker of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly,R Selvam,has conveyed his warm greetings to the Asian Literary Society (ALS) for their ongoing ALS 7th LITFEST 2025 in Delhi.

In a message addressed to the esteemed members and friends of the Society,Mr.Selvam lauded the remarkable growth of ALS since its inception in 2017.

He highlighted the Society’s impressive expansion across 36 Asian countries and its global reach extending to over 100 nations.

Selvam also acknowledged the significant contribution of the Journal of Asian Art and Culture and Literature in enriching the Society’s diverse activities.

He expressed his deep admiration for ALS’s rapid growth to over one lakh registered members.

Selvam commended the Society’s inspiring motto to become the most vibrant literary and art platform in Asia and its commitment to supporting emerging writers and artists,preserving indigenous languages,and serving the community through social initiatives.

He also lauded their focus on women’s personal and professional advancement through art and culture.

While expressing his regret for being unable to attend the LITFEST,Selvam extended his heartfelt wishes for the event’s success and expressed his sincere hope that the Asian Literary Society would consider hosting an event in Puducherry in the near future.

He emphasized the Union Territory’s rich artistic,cultural, and historical significance as an ideal backdrop for promoting the values championed by the Society and assured the government’s full support for future initiatives.

“Our Union Territory of Puducherry, with its rich tapestry of art,culture,and historical significance,offers an ideal setting for advancing the values and principles championed by your esteemed Society,Selvam stated in his message.

He concluded by extending his sincere appreciation and warm regards to all members of the Asian Literary Society.
