The Banashankari police on Saturday arrested a 36-year-old software engineer for stabbing a 20-year-old student after she refusing his proposal .
The accused Srikanth,was married and working in a tech company.He rented out a portion of the house to a student few month ago .
The accused started stalking the victim and proposed her.
The victim complained to the wife over his harassment and later vacated the house few days ago unable to bear his harassment.
The accused few days ago found the victim with a boy near Devegowda petrol bunk and confronted her .
Heated argument ensued bwtween them for rejecting him in the melee he stabbed her and escaped .
The injured was rushed to a near-by hospital and police were alerted .
Based on the complaint,the police track down the accused and arrested him on the charges of attempt to murder .
