*Did Deve Gowda forget that he has said he would leave the country if Modi becomes Prime Minister:CM Questions.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asked whether Deve Gowda had forgotten that he had said that he would leave the country if Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.

He was speaking at the teacher’s thanksgiving meeting organized today at Kangeri in the wake of Puttanna’s victory in the Karnataka Legislative Council’s teachers constituency by-election.

The CM said that he is very surprised that former Prime Minister Deve Gowda has now joined hands with the BJP and is praising Modi.

Recalling that Devegowda had once said that he want to be born as a Muslim in his next life and was always against BJP.Now he has aligned himself with BJP for the survival of his party.

Today the people of the country are intelligent like you. The people of the country can check and compare their statements.

The CM said that no matter what decision Deve Gowda takes politically for the survival of his family,he thinks that people should turn a blind eye and support him. But now there is no such situation, he said

Earlier, when I was in Janata Dal “S”,Puttanna was confident that the teachers would support him and told that he would compete for the election.

He won with the blessings of the people in 2002.He has won five times since then.He has worked efficiently being the voice of the people and the CM expressed his appreciation for the wisdom of the teaching community who supported Puttanna despite coming from the BJP to the Congress.

Confident that D.K Suresh will win:

Kumaraswamy had said that the alignment between BJP and JDS will give a new direction to Lok Sabha elections. Now people have to decide.

DK Suresh from Bangalore rural has been contesting for four times. He will definitely win this time.BJP is confident of winning in the name of Narendra Modi, but there is no reason for BJP to go to the people, the CM said.

*No one is as stupid as those who think they will win on the name of Narendra Modi:

The CM said that BJP thinks that they will win on the name of Narendra Modi.Even though Narendra Modi marched across the state in the assembly elections,we got 136 seats.

BJP never won in any constituency where Modi campaigned. Therefore there is no one as stupid as the people who think that they will win on the name of Narendra Modi.

Ploughing oxen should be fed with fodder:

People who fulfil the promises and work should be paid.Ploughing oxen should be fed and oxen which does not plough won’t be fed.

They think that they will win 28 out of 28 in the next Lok Sabha elections. In 2023-24,4.30 lakh crore rupees has been collected from Karnataka.

But we got back only Rs.50,257 crore. This is very unfair. If this is the case, how to develop the state. The people of Karnataka are questioning that justice should be given in tax distribution, the CM said.

Devegowda’s dual policy:

Deve Gowda is praising Narendra Modi now.He also says that he and Narendra Modi have an inseparable relationship.I wonder why he has become like this.

The same Deve Gowda had said that if Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister again,he will leave the country. But now,he himself is praising.

Thus they are following a dual policy.I never expected that a former Prime Minister of a country would say this,he said.

A meeting to discuss the problems of teachers:

The Chief Minister assured to convene a meeting with the Teachers’ representatives, along with the Finance Department,to discuss the teacher’s issues.

RamojiGowda and Srinivas are contesting from teacher’s constituency and graduate’s constituency. The CM expressed his gratitute for the support of the people in the victory of Puttana and expected same support for the victory of these two.
